Against the Dark

Acrylic and oil painting on black paper. This piece began as a study in contrast, using a dark surface to push color and light in a different direction. The neon tones emerge through layered texture, creating depth that shifts depending on how the light hits the surface.

After completing the physical work, I photographed the piece and brought it into Google Veo 3 to further explore how it could evolve digitally. This step allowed me to experiment with movement, atmosphere, and subtle transformations that extend beyond the original medium.

The result is a blend of traditional materials and digital interpretation, where the boundaries between painting and motion begin to blur.
